7600GT Support?

Do you guys know if my computer will be able to support a 7600GT? Or should I go with ATI? My specs are 2GB of RAM, e6300 Processor at 1.8Ghz, 600W CoolerMaster eXtreme Power Supply, and mobo specs i think a 965g express chipset.. i think.

Well i thought it would, but I just needed to make sure....the 7300gs i tried to install didn't work, so I figured just in case. If it didn't work again, my dad would kill me. Any suggestion for the brand? I can't do SLI
