What do you think is the difference? I mean personally I see a 100 buck difference and I knowi'm going upgrade my PC soon, is a 7600 really good? I mean is it truly worth saving that 100 bucks for a extra GIG of ram or somting or should I simply go with the 7900 i was thinking of planning on saving for somting along those lines.

Now really 300 bucks is the limit I perfer to go much lower. Any advice htis purchase won't be made anytime soon so i'm sure prices will fall slightly.

ok first off i would deffinately take the 7900gt over the 7600gs...now if u want the 7600 get the gt version...it is two hundred dollars but is has much faster clock speeds etc...also gddr3...now this is the same question i was asking...should i get the 7600gt or 7900gt for my new build...i think im staying with the 7600gt just to stay in budget...but now remember. the 7900gt is newer...has 24 pixel piplines over the 7600's 12...also has 256 bit over the 7600's 128 bit...and would overall perform much better...now what games do u plan on playing...also they are both great cards but plz look at the 7600gt not the 7600gs...gt is newer and has the better chipset...hope this helped

Yea personally I don't intend on buying it I intend on getting it for my birthday. My gaming collection incldues BF2 and higher end games like that. My 6600 GT is doing fine now so its not a emegrecy. And I really don't feel like getting a whole extra 4 pixel pipelines out of my new GPU for the same price i bought it when I can get triple that. Chances are i'll get the 7900 and actually the 7600 is newer, its just less better because it was designed to make poele feel like they own a 7 series card. Look at the 7200 is a joke :)

oh yeh...i thought all the gt cards were the newest...or maybe it was the 7600gt...7800gtx..and 7900gtx...oh well i tried

the 7900gt is far better then the 7600gs, i wouldnt get that evga one though because looking at the reviews people are complaining about artifacts after some use, if u have good case cooling it should be ok otherwise when u get it replace the thermal paste on the heatsink since the stuff they use with it usually sucks

No it was just an example so poeple would have a fast link. When I actually select my video card i'll do a fair bit of research on it. In fact buying from newegg reviews are normall what decides the product that I buy.

yea, but if you SLi two 7600 it gets around 11K in 3dmark06. Google "7600GT SLi Review". It cost lesser to :D

Mid-range.. there was the GeForce 4 Ti4200, The GeForce 6600GT, and now the GeForce 7600GT.

Personally, i'd get the 7900GT if possible, but if not, the 7600GT will suffice. In terms of speed it's like an overclocked 6800Ultra, only with more features. (w00t for shader model 3)
