You mean those 10k RPM drives? Not a ton, but it would help (depending on the activity).

the only place it would help is load times of games, and data seeking times, with all the ram you have your computer wont use much of the "page file", but if you have the money i would get it

I have quite a bit firsthand experience with raptors.

And i gotta say they are one of the best upgrades i ever got even for my personal system.

you can have the peace of mind knowing you have the fastest desktop hard drive available.

Multitasking improves

opening single programs improves

loading games/levels improves

your system is almost always reading/writing data to the harddrive one way or another so basically everything is improved (providing you are running your OS on the raptor)

If you can afford it i recommend it 100%

If you install your games on that drive. yes there would be improvement.

Personally i would scrap the 20 Gig and run your OS off your 160 Gig drive.

Or since we are on a raptor thread, buy a 74Gig raptor and load your OS and games on that, use your 160 for storage and you will notice an Impressive difference
