Default 7300..

Ok, my FX5500, sucks! And now that im in the ultimate geek group at college..(ICT course) We have LAN parties every wednesday, with different games, which the college provides you with..and I signed up for it..

Will the 7300 do me more justice than a FX5500? Is the card any good, it's 50, about the amount of money I have ATM..and ive heard the card is ok..got any suggestions..please?

the 7300gt is definitely better than the fx5500... but 50 euro... can't you just save up like 80 euro for a 7600gt instead?

i'm not sure, i don't own either card so i can't really vouch on their performance, just wait a bit on your purchase, plenty of people on this forum have 7600gts in their rigs. not so sure about the 7300 though, then again, it's newer than the 7600gt.

it would probably be about the same as the 6600GT. But I'd just save a little more and get the 7600GT, it's an awesome card.

i have a 7600GT runs BF2 MAXED PUT with 90 fps and CS:S MAXED OUT with 100-130 FPS its a great card for the money the only difference between it and a 7900GT is that the 7600 has 256mb of memory on a 128bit interface whereas the 7900 has 256mb of memory on a 256bit interface... the only major difference you would see with a 256bit interface is more improvement on anti aliasing at high resolutions
