The threshold for a 6600GT is 145C mate, your well within the range.

Is the card under warranty? If so, I'd contact the manufacturer or the supplier. I would NOT change the thermal paste or the heatsink if its under warranty, as that would destroy the warranty.

How many case fans do you have?

Yeah the threshold is 145C, I still don't like getting anywhere near it .

Yeah I've got 3 case fans, 1 rear exhaust, 1 side intake, and 1 front intake. The side intake virtually pushes air straight onto the gfx card and cpu. Yes, it is still under warrenty, if I notice any performance problems because of the temperatures, ill just contact the supplier.
