650i pointless?

well i was wondering if i should get a 650i sli mobo with 2 8800gts 320mb or a Regular good mobo and get 1 8800gtx, btw im kinda on a budget. Also is A-Data a good brand cuz i just bought my ddr ram from that brand and i was wondering if there any good.

i'd say get the 650i and one 8800 640 MB.

Not sure if A-Data is good or not. what do you plan on using the comptuer for?

im going to be using the computer for gaming and downloading, thing is i wanted the 650i too but my uncle already ordered the parts and there all these brands ive never heard of and not the right kind of mobo i want but i dont want him to go through all the trouble to returning all of it.

A-Data's good.

The 650i chipset is intended towards gaming, but if you go Intel, forget it. There is supposed to be problems with Nvidia and Intel. I was never told why.

lol....anyway. The HD 2900 series will be announced May 14th, the date NDA is lifted. So expect to see plenty of reviews on that day. Supposedly, the HD 2900XT is very close to the performance of the 8800GTX, but at the 8800GTS 640MB price point. So hopefully you can wait a little bit.

If you plan to go ATi, you can get an Intel chipset ie. 975x and run crossfire if need be.
