Well there is no way you are getting a FX processor. Those alone cost more then $700
Here's what I suggest

--Motherboard: ASUS A8N-E - $95
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131530
--Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ venice - $159
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103535
--Memory: Corsair XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) - $80
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145450
--Harddrive: Western Digital Caviar 200GB SATA 3Gb/s - $91
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144416
--Video card: eVGA Geforce 6800GS CO - $154
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130271
--Powersupply: Antec TRUEPOWERII 550W - $75
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103931

Thats a total of $654 dollars without shipping after rebates. Just choose a case you like and you are good.

Yep, I have to agree, that's a nice setup for that amount of money. Do keep in mind that you will still need optical drives if you don't already have them and a floppy drive if you want it.
