Default 5900xt vs 5700 ultra vs 9800 pro

out of these three cards.
which is the best for gaming.

i'm kinda confused cuz, the 5900xt is newer and costs more, yet it's core and memory speeds are much slower.

thx.

can u tell me the cons and pros of each???/

I don't know the Speeds of the 5900xt or the 9800 Pro; but as far as I know the 5900 is better.

How do you know its much slower?

and that the 9800 pro's speeds are lower than both da geforce's.

5700 ultra 500/1000

5900xt 450/780

9800 pro 380/680

kinda confused cuz as the price goes up , the speeds go down.

I don't know why its in 500/1000 format; but I know that the 5700 is slower than the 5900 because thats how they number them.

I imagine its 500/1000 = 0.5, 450/780 = 0.58, and 380/680 = 0.56; probably in Ghz.

That makes more sense, hope it helps.

Performance can NOT be based on speed alone.

The greater the pipeline and greater the processing power is going to gain performance WITHOUT increasing the speed.

A good way to describe it is using airplanes, i.e. 727 vs. 747. Both travel at the same speed, but when traveling the 747 can carry almost twice the amount of people. Better perfomance without changing speeds.

Difference techology, different performance.

Oh; lol.

Yeah, speed is not neccersarily power - AMD have less speed as Processors but almost as much power as Intel.

Needless to say; the power is higher in the 5900 than the 5700 - whatever the Clockspeed.
