512MB SD card

i just bought one of these so i could have more mp3's on my Nokia phone, the problem is that sometimes when i put on some songs, they dont show up all that comes up is folder that the phone reads as crap symbols like Ùµ0«Ù¹♠ why is that? anyone know but sometimes it works okay, when it does above it recks the whole card and there is no music on it, could it be anything to do with file types like Mp3 and Windows media audio file.

What phone do you have? Are you sure you just copy them to the card, or do you have to use some program to convert them to soemthing? Perhaps the compression levels your using?

OH, and the size of the card! Do you have any smaller ones you could try? A GPS I'm considering getting apparently can only have a 128M card in it... Phones could be the same *shrugs*
