so is there anything to fix this problem???

maybe your computer is trying to run the ram at the speeds of the new stick, which is probably faster than the current ones. try putting JUST the new stick in boot and go into windows really quick. turn off the pc and put in the old sticks

from wut i understand he had 2x256mb sticks at PC2100 anyway so wuts the diff if he adds another stick of PC2100 ram only a 512 stick instead of 256??

According to what I read it can handle 128, 256, 512, or 1gb in each slot for a total of 3gb of ddr333, pc2100 ram. My first impulse is the card is not seated correctly. Second is the card is out of spec or just plain defective.
