Ok my dad gave me a ultra series lifetime 500-watt powersupply and i was wondering if i could run this build

q6600
4870 1 GB or gtx+ 1GB (Probaly 4850 or gtx, but just making sure)
4GB
P45 or 750i MOBO
Vista 32-bit
250 GB HDD
A few 5 120 L.E.D fans (Making sure)
XIGMATEK 120MM HSF

Yup, the Ultra should do OK with that system. It's a little light on the 12V rail, but it should suffice.

so will it kinda slow down and is that with the 4870 1GB and all 5 fans with the p45?

and will like 700-750 watts enough for crossfire with 2 4870 1GB or SLI with gtx+ 1GB

if you get the GTX 260 or even the 280 you will not be able to run all of that with a 500w supply, not sure about the 4870 either, you may not have full potential. People have reported they where have problems with the 260 with 550 watt supplys because its not enough. I think you will be fine with the 4850 though

i wouldnt do 500 bro, you will have hick-ups and such, wont run in full potential, for sli man, i would go with a 900 or even 1000, just incase. GTX 260 and 280 take up somewhat of power and i think it would better if you went with an 800-900 for the 4870's. Also make sure the power supply has 2 6 pin connectors on it, otherwise nothing will work.

oh the 9800 GTX, i thought you where talking about the GTX 260 or 280. with two 9800 GTX's you should be fine with a 700, however crossfireing the 4870 may take up more and you will need id say 800 for that or 850

i didn't say anything about a GTX 260 or 280! lol

i know u didnt, the card you listed is not called GTX+ 1gb, its the 9800GTX, so i thought you where talking about the GTX 280
