40pin and 80 pin

Thanks. I just went by my friendly futureshop store and asked them about the cabling differences. I thought S-ata drives were on similar cables to the IDE drives, but they r not.
 
SATA doesn't really use pins, it uses a serial connection, thus the S in SATA. The connector is an L shape, and has a commited ground and I/O line. SATA is fun, and the wires are MUCH smaller then EIDE.
