3d marks problem

ok my fx gets aprox. 13,000, its insane, and since i dished out so much omney on this bad-boy, i need to sell my old computer, adn i installed 3dmarks 03 on it but when i open it it says, "Direct3d intialization failed", does this mean i need the newest version or newer version of direct x?

Go and download Microsoft Direct X 9.0c from Microsofts site.
