Receieved this modem without an power supply adapter. Following are the details of the modem:
3COM U.S. Robotics 56k Voice Faxmodem Pro
Model number is: 0525
FCC Reg.No. : 4X2USA-32128-M5-E
I emailed USR tech support and they informed me:
Thank you for choosing U.S. Robotics.
"I understand that you need power supply specification for USR5605.
Power supply specification for USR5605 is V AC 1.5A."
I have a universial ac-dc adaptor, and the specifications on that are:
model: 900-100
input:100/220v 60/50Hz
Power: 18 W
Output: 1.5.-3-4.5-6-7.5-9-12V
Current: DC 1000mA max
Will this universial adaptar work with the external modem? I'm confused on which settings the tech support gave me. The "USR5605 is V AC 1.5A." I tried 1.5v and didn't power the modem on. I dont want to burnout or overload the modem, if anybody can please help me with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
allan
