Default 250 gb hard drive

I just got this western digital 250 gb hdd and somewhere in the installation I must have done something wrong because when I started up my computer and looked at the hard drive it only showed up as 127 gb. Is there any way that I can still get my hard drive to show up as 250?

Reformat it. I had this problem with my 80GB drive, it only showed 47GB of it. Go to...

Start Menu >> Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Computer Management >> Disk Management >> Then format the drive.

Right click on the Hard Drive, and click Format. Make sure you have the NTFS format selected, you don't want a 250GB drive using FAT32...
