Default 2300 Budget for New Computer

Hey guys. I have decided to build a new computer. But don't know what parts to get. Ive been playing around with a few builds, but they don't quite look right to me.

Anyways. I was wondering if anyone could help me make a good gaming computer build. Ex, give URLs to the hardware and such. (has to ship to canada).

I would also be willing to pay 5-10 dollers via paypal.

If you have a successful build and would like to share that would be great!

Video Card: Sapphire HD4870X2 - 550
PSU: Power & Cooling 750W - 150
HDD: WD Caviar 500GB x2 - 140 (For RAID)
CPU: C2Q Q9650 Yorkfield 3.0GHz (Quad-core) - 500
CPU Cooler: Tuniq Tower - 50
MOBO: Asus Rampage Formula - 300
RAM: OCZ Reaper HCP - 85
CASE: Your choice

Prices were rounded. Total before shipping and discounts: ~US$1800

This is top of the line stuff. However, with that budget, I would wait until the new line of Intel Processors (Nehalems) come out. Then you will be able to get some real nice stuff. It's not worth crossfiring as the HD4870X2 is already overkill. Stuff like HDD, Memory, and Cases are really easy to switch out. It's very easy to figure out compatibility. If there's anything else you think is better or that you want just post and we'll check for compatibility.

You should be able to. Just search the names. But don't buy it quite yet. Let other members also give their approval. I'd hate to be wrong because of lack of attention or something.

edit: If you have the space, get a Full Tower, I think that would allow for it to run cooler.

Yeah, no need to pay us. We're glad to help.

Questions -
Do you need a monitor, keyboard, etc? (I'll assume yes)
Do you need an OS? (I'll assume yes)
Are you overclocking? (I'll assume no)

$2300 will get you a pretty nice computer. The build I just put together might even be excessive. You really don't need the sound card, you really don't need such nice speakers, you really don't need such a big monitor, expensive keyboard/mouse, etc. But all that stuff is cool, so I figure go for it. The total I got is about $2150.

The reason I didn't pick the 4870X2 is that at this point, it's overpriced for what you get. The 9800GX2 is still super fast, but about half the price.

Joga put a nice system together, but I'll add my small changes to it.

If you are willing to put forth a little work with lapping, get this CPU cooler.

If not, get this.

And for a case, I highly recommend Lian-Li.

Guys, you have to remember that tigerdirect.ca doesn't have the same selection as newegg. They don't have a lot of stuff, so you have to work with what's there.
