LCDs do take up less space and put out less radiation (if any).. but still.. when your playing quake4 or riddick or any other game in a dark area.. and your lights are out.. and you want to be immersed.. that back light will always be there to haunt you.
No such issue on a CRT.
When colours and darks on LCDs are as good or nearly as good.. I'll switch.
