20.1'' LG Flatron Wide. + Bf2 = not working :S

I have a problem. So i got my new monitor today and i installed the drivers and when i try to play battlefield 2 the screen goes black and it crashes back to the desktop. Could someone please help me out..

is the game trying to display a resolution that your monitor isnt capble of displaying?

No. Well it worked with my old CRT monitor. My GPU is geforce 6600GT 128. I have played COD2 on this monitor. Its just i cant play BF2 it just crashes back to the desktop. Is their anyway i can play it and make it widescreen???

try going to my documents, then into the bf2 folder, then profiles, 000? (? = the order of ur name on the bf2 login screen 1=top name, 2= second, and so on) then right click on the video.con file and select edit, then manually change the resolution to something lower if its our of the range of ur monitor
