Default 2 questions about linux and webpages

what exaclty is linux and how easy/functional/difference than windows is it for someone who has semi-computer experience... also anyone know a site that helps make a good quality webpage with its own dot com name... (do i have to pay for my own dot com name, any suggestions?) thanks for reading, and your time

http://www.amxhost.com If you ever get in contact with the guy via phone or e-mail, or aim, or msn, or whatever, tell him Aaron from Iron Raven sent you, maybe he'll give you a discount . He can get you your own dot com name too.

Personally I think that Linux is not as user friendly as windows. Just what I think. However, it's not incredibly difficult to figure out. If your use to a windows setup its a difficult transition, but if you know how to use a computer, it's really pretty user-friendly.
