Hi All,
If I use this as my engine for my next build for FS9...do you think it could tread water for the updates for at least 5 yrs or so? All good advice welcome. Berne

I would go with an i7 or wait for the new hexacore chips to come out.

Hi rohan23,
Ive been away, thanks for the reply, waiting for the new chipset, will cost increase dramatically intandem with performance in relation to entry level i7, cost is a factor? Moreso what percentage of the performance relationship does the chipset command in the processor/chipset config. For any given config would performance vary much between Quad 9550 2.8ghz and entry level i7 ( I think the chosen spec at this time is 2.3ghz )? Lastly in you experience do you think a pc, if cared for, can give 10yrs of use without needing upgrading,...are they like cars or that respect? Ive had my substandard pc ( see below ) for 4yrs and it still performs fairly well as far as my limited experience can tell. Though using FS9 it struggles.
