2.8 GC or 2.8 GE????

here's my dilema

i dunno which processor i should buy.

2.8 GC (512K cache, 800MHZ FSB with Hyper Threading)

or

2.8 GE (1Mb cache, 800MHZ FSB with Hyper Threading)


i've heard that 2.8 GE overheats too much because of the 1 Mb of Cache memory,

which one should i buy?

Isnt it the MBD that determines the cache ? Lets start from there.

No i don't think it is because i put i had a P4HT and then changed it to P4HTEE and the cache is diffrent on that and it won't overheat just buy a quilty fan .

You don't seem to have done your homework,so i'll start a poll.
Has your cpu oveheated.
If you buy AMD then your at risk,so buy a Pentium,and a motherboard with a 512 pipeline cach.Yes thats a motherbord cach.CPU's process what it holds.

I think I have Bluto's problem - Chache is Processor Based but is Motherboard Based?! I think its the amount of Cache a Processor can hold or something like that. Eitherway, the 2.8 GE would be a better choice - 1MB of Cache can be useful! A good fan will sort out the heat anyway.

how many RPM does your CPU fan go up to?
mine goes to abt 3900- 4000 RPM

Mine is 6500RPM but mine is a ExtremeEdition P4 so i think anything over will be brillant but anything under will be good as well.
