Default 2,000 Budget GAMING PC Build! [HELP NEEDED]

I am looking to have a 2,000 maximum budget on my new Gaming PC. My budget was fine at 2,000 but the price of the 1080 is 619, 169 above what I expected it to be (450). This is what I'm looking to get buy I am 200+ over my budget. Any recommendations on how I can save that 200 would be very appreciated, I am looking to keep the same Keyboard/Headset/Monitor (Mouse isn't necessarily needed but would be a great addition). Thank you once again.

Your links are broken.

One thing you can do to save some money, is not to buy two 2x8 gig kits.
Why not just the one 2x8 kit? do you really need 32 gig? i highly doubt it.

Do you also need blueray? ... or an optical drive in general.
I think this is a good opportunity for you to ditch optical drives. I haven't used them for 2 years now.
It's a technology that should just die already. (that's my opinion at least. I know some people disagree)

You will save the first 107 ditching that.

You could also choose an I5 instead of the I7?
The difference between the 2 are 0% in gaming performance.
Hyper-threading is good for CPU rendering, de/compression, encoding.. stuff like that.
Is that something you do a lot with your PC? If not, go I5.

MOBO: Asus Maximus 6 Hero - GPU: Gigabyte GTX 980ti xtreme - CPU: I7-4770K - PSU: Corsair AX760
RAM: Corsair Vantage 2x4GB - SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 512GB - Case: NZXT H440
