So, I wanted a computer I could play games on and thought I would look into building my own... so I did. Here is what I came up with.

Corsair Air540 case
ASI Z97 Gaming 5 mobo
Intel i5-4690k cpu
4 gig Corsair Vengence DDR3 / 1600 x2
Thermaltake NiC C5 cpu cooler
1TB Western Digital HDD
EVGA 850w B2 bronze PSU
Gigabyte GTX 970 Windforce GPU

Before and after pics... ( I took the EVGA GPU back and got the Gigabyte instead. I took the Acer monitor and Logitech stuff back as well and upgraded to a 27" Asus monitor, Gigabyte keyboard and Corsair mouse.)
It's been a fun project...
I have not messed with overclocking or anything as of yet. I need to learn more about all that.

Ran 3DMark on it and this was the results... not too shabby I guess, although I don't really have anything to compare it to.

Welcome aboard and sweet PC. :)

Good choice on the PSU, made by Super Flower. Can't do better than that.

Thanks all... Just glad to have a computer I can actually play games on over 10 fps ;)
Now, to just find out which games ive been missing out on...

Welcome friend! Sorry I am so late to this post.
The specs are great! Is this only for gaming? If so, then I can recommend decent antimalware software for you that will not slow you down while playing games.
