Default 128 Vs 256 Video Cards on Laptops

Hey I relize that 256 is double the 128 card,and therefor should have double the quality, but for gameing how does the 128 shape up??
I keep looking for a gameing laptop and the ones a 256vid card and 1Gb of Ram are upwards of 1200.
Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative than the XPS or alien or

well RAM isn't the factor on video cards that make them good. I have a geforce with 256mb, I forgot the name, but its a shit card, and everyone will tell you that. When you can get a card with only 128mb and it can be a ton better. Take it from me, and get the best card possible, if not you will regret it.

The clock for a Geforce 5200 128MB is 250/300
The clock for a Geforce 5200 256MB is 275/330

There won't be a lot of difference (maybe 1 more FPS)

Just stickl with 128MB if you can
