Well, with this here configuration, I'm not sure if you can afford it.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 1GHz HT Socket 939 Dual Core Processor - Retail for $295.

ASRock 939SLI32-eSATA2 ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail for $84.99

HIS Hightech Radeon X1600PRO H160PRQ256N IceQ CrossFire Ready Video Card - Retail for $153.

CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory - Retail for $69

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic Sound Card - Retail for $121.99

Western Digital Caviar RE 160GB 3.5" Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - OEM for $85

2 of these for a total of $109.98.

Choose whatever case you want. We'll determine whether or not you'll need a power supply.

It's $918.78 minus shipping, case, power supply, OS, monitor, and speakers.

Please don't leave that config hanging... took me quite a while to get up the parts

I think that's a derned good config for under $1000... I'll add in Windows Home.

EDIT: This is Home for $93. Are you willing to add $100 to your budget?

I'll answer your monitor question after I've established what you want for your speakers.

I actually could probably get by with the ones I have. They are cambridge soundworks and it has a nice sub.
