Hmmm... I imagine it would only go at 7,200 RPM; so it would be a waste of buying the 10,000 RPM Hard Drive.

The sizes are probably a compensation for the speed of the drives, requiring less cylinders, producing less heat, mechanical faults etc.

As we've said in the other thread - the Hard Drive is not, beyond Load Times, going to give the Game any real upgrade in performance.

If your going to setup a raid array use the same drives otherwise you only get the capacity and performance of the lesser drive.

Some controllers can mix different drives but again the performance suffers.

thanks for the insight.....I think the drives are a little to expensive for me, and for the storage you get.....I think I'll stick with my Maxtor 200 gb
