I recently posted that I had purchased a 750GB Western Digital "My Book" hard drive for backup, music, and video. I thought about the 1TB but it was getting out of my price range.

Well, guess what?
Just noticed Best Buy stores had a sale on the 1TB units and they were discounted to the exact same price I paid for the 750GB ($279).
I called them and they said I could exchange it if I wanted.

Woohooo...........what a deal, I have a WD 1TB external HD sitting on my desk for the same price! Awesome!
This is an awesome price for a WD external HD of this capacity...........if you live in the USA and close to a Best Buy, check it out.

what i mean is, is the HD 1 large HD or is it 2 500GB HD put together?
ive been thinking about getting one to put all of my DVDs on
but i dont want it to be divided and have 2 500GB HDs

Of course, Unformated it's 1TB.........formatted it's always less than advertised. Still a 1TB drive though. ;)

IMHO you can't beat Western Digital for reliability and "bang for the buck"
It even looks pretty. :p
You don't want to get an el-cheapo drive for your valuable files.

I quite like the look of this, it could be a purchase after the new GPU and two monitors.....
