Default How to setup site?

Hey,

I have a small sporting club website currently hosted on 110mb.com (with xxx.110mb.com being the link) but would like to upgrade a little bit and have the site located at www.xxx.com and a) become searchable via google b) make it easier for people to access. I'm not too educated with webhosting, so would like to know what I need to look for to host my website and have it's own domain name?? I'm in Australia..

Thanks,

Matt

Basically, you can just buy a domain name from whatever company, and have their DNS servers point the URL www.whatever.com to your whatever.110mb.com site.

That sounds easy and cheap enough, but would all the links on the page still say .110mb.com or would they still work if I changed them to say xxx.com/registration (where the actually link is xxx.110mb.com/registration). I want it to look as professional as possible, would web hosting as well as the domain be better?

It should not show the 110mb URL at all.

Paid web hosting would obviously be better, but if the 110mb free site suits your needs, then there's no reason to switch.
