Default Verizon Wireless SMTP Server

I want to setup my Droid Incredible to send messages but I need to use Verizon's SMTP Server. Any ideas on what settings I need to use?

That's what I tried and it doesn't work. Does it require a login?

Are you getting an error? Typically most of the larger network email providers require authentication on outgoing mail so if there's an option within your driod to setup the outgoing mail server to require authentication, check that.

I get an error when I try to use smtp.verizon.net - something about not being able to contact the server.

Now it says that my email address is not valid. I use an IMAP server for my incoming server if that makes a difference.

You're using incoming.verizon.net for the IMAP server right?

The account isn't wireless is it? Because I think their wireless customers use a different server.

Try using port 587. Apparently they changed from the standard port 25 -> 587.
