Verizon says pay or be throttled

Don't know if this was a bad link or if this was the result of opening a mobile link on a computer of if the site just doesn't allow for mobile links (despite my thoughts in the other forum) but it doesn't work. It just goes to the cnet home page.

Also, they are now saying that nothing will happen if you have a grandfathered contract and you don't change phones. If you keep your phone you have now they will let you keep your grandfathered unlimited contract (thankfully I just picked up the iPhone 4S - although had I know this was coming I'd have gotten a 4G phone instead). They are also saying that if you pay full retail price for your phone they will let you keep the grandfathered contract (instead of getting their subsidized discount).

I know you can access the link with a smartphone which many people have. The subject matter would interest many Verizon subscribers who are in the grandfather category for unlimited data service on their mobile phones. If you try to access the link through a computer, you will be directed to CNet's home page as you just reported. I'll try to find a more accessible link.

Here's another article (which is a bit confusing): http://www.phonearena.com/news/Is-Verizon-throttling-4G-speeds-too_id22818

ZDnet is affiliated to CNet and they have this article: http://www.zdnet.com/blog/mobile-ne...ice-for-remaining-unlimited-3g-customers/4522
