ultimate home theater is what i got. i think if u want ultimage its at least gotta have sli. and instead of speakers and stuff get a receiver and hook up ur pc to a receiver and get surround. ull get much better sound. it might cost quite a bit but u wanted ultimate. i run a 4800 dual cores now and its nice. i got two pcs with 4800s pc thats y i havent been on in a while. i got a receiver stuff too. and for monitor u should get like two or three. or hook it up to a big screen. get some more ram too. i think u got to little. and u should have a bigger hard drive.

Whoa, on budget - half the things you say are ponitless. would the icons look better with SLi? ;)

The X2 3800+ crosses the theshold to much as it is

Bigger hard drive? ... yes when it's full I'll add another!

Two/three screens? your kidding? :D

RAM? yeah 512 is okay, I will get another 512 at a later date!

Not a bad idea for speakers.

Prehaps I SHOULD redefine the word "Ultimate" - catchs attention!

i guess. i was talking for ultimate. i just bought two pcs and there pretty nice. both are identical. water cooling amd x2 4800s i think im gonna sell one of the x2s and get a fx57 and so that way i can overclock the 4800 and the fx a little bit. i got 4 gigs or ram. and two all in one cd drives and one 52x cd read. 1 terabyte and a 52 tv. i hooked it up with s video. o and both have a sli 7800gtx vid cards. i got some cash lol and what i spend it on lol.

I have to say that you have one hell of a cooling system. That Abit board looks pretty good but I hear it is really picky and BIOS has to be flashed upon getting it (if it doesn't work). It is a good motherboard overall and with a pair of 7800GTX on it, that thing would be Pure Ownage, with of course, an Athlon FX57 on it.

I'll stick to using my hi-fi for PC sound - Mission702e speakers, paradigm pdr10 sub, AudioInnovations amp - sweet sounds

y would u get such a good cpu when the rest of the system isnt very good and theres no way u need water cooling so all you're looking at is one big bottleneck
