Default steam download

hi. i mentioned in another thread i was getting a new ssd as i ran out of storage space and am hoping to copy all the data from one to the other, but i had been thinking maybe a fresh install would be a better option. i just downloaded about 9 games from steam a week or 2 ago and decided to go with the copying option as i wasn't sure i'd be able to download all the games again without having to pay for them. would steam allow me to download them again. silly question i guess but been a tad busy and not had time to contact steam. thanks,,,gordon

If you remove the files, it should let you re-download them.

Anderwolfe is right. The games are assigned to your username. You could go round your friends and sign in on your account and play (mind you you'd have to download them again). That's the plus side of steam I suppose.
