Actually, Dell makes some pretty decent budget MP3 players...the Dell DJ 20 isn't bad and it got a pretty good review on cnet.com

The nano is just a sexy looking thing, that's all. The battery life isn't the best, but it's incredible.

the size is about the only thing that makes it sell in my opinion and the fact that it's an iPod.

They did, but Intel came in there...and may made HP mad, so they might have been gone
