Default ipod video formats

I have a video Ipod (30g) and I havent been able to put videos onto it. I know its the video format that is causing the problem. Does anyone know what type of video format does itune/ipod accept? Thanks for all help.

If you know a program is good at converting videos please let me know.

something is wrong with the converter, i cant see the "start" button, no matter how big i expand the window

also, when i click add file to library on Itunes, the video doesnt add and there are no error messages or anything

i did use the second converter and it is successful, however when i play it in the ipod, it plays it as if it was a song. any suggestions?

i'm an expert with this stuff.
for videos and dvds to ipod, there are a number of different programs that u can use that are all good.
+WinAVI iPod
+ImTOO iPod Movie Converter
+UltraiPod Converter
+Nero Recode
+AnyVideo Converter (FREE!! AND GOOD!! FAST!!)
+Videora

i like anyvideo converter, and winavi, and imtoo. well, thoses are all good. try them out.

cucusoft is the best

(mp4 is the format)

i used to hate cucusoft but they fixed a ton of things. i convert a 2 hour movie in 30 minutes with no scratching/skipping or anything
