Default i want to use my laptop screen to play 360

my laptop, a vista equipped sony vaio, has a screen much cooler than my POS CRT TV from the 80's.
there is one S-video OUTput, and one plugin that might be a VGA plugin thing. it doesn't state whether or not it is an input or output plug.
the screen resolution is 1280x800, and i have the HD AV cords for my 360.
i would like to know if this is possible, and what i would need (programs, hardware) and the cost (estimate).
the laptop also has some large slot like plugins for internet adapters i think, if that helps at all.

thanks for helping me out.

Unfortunately I can't personally help you out because I don't own any game consoles, however, I can introduce you to the wonders of Google: www.neowin.net > Help & Discussion Center > Hardware Hangout > Notebook monitor as TV for Xbox 360
