Hello everyone... I a new here and I know nothing about computers or tv's. All i know is I have a computer and a tv. lol...I just got a new tv for christmas that i know has an s video on it... I dont know what that is but i am hoping i can somehow use this tv as a monitor. i really know nothing about my computer or tv like what kind and all the stuff it has i have no idea... if someone could help me at least know what kind of computer it is so i can learn more about it i would greatly appreicate it... thanks

If your current video card supports S-Video, then all you need is an S-Video cable to connect it:

If you don't have an S-Video output on your video card, you'll need to buy a video card with S-video. Assuming you have PCI-Express, here's a decent, cheap card that will do it for you.

ok so i looked and my computer does have the s video on it... last night i bought an s video cable and i hooked it up to my tv and i went to my graphic card and changed it to tv but i can not get the whole computer screen on the tv...its just the middle of the windows screen on it.... any idea???

Try the following:
- Install latest drivers for your video card.
- Play around with the display settings. (Right click your Desktop, Properties, Settings Tab)

i never got the s-video working off of my video card... for some reason it just never showed up on my tv.... but it doesnt matter anmore i just have a HD projecter to run my computer off of.

Jp you should try using a different screen resolution. Yours is probably on 1024x768 or something similar. Try setting it on 800x600 or something similar.
