Default HDTV as PC monitor vis HDMI

I got an Panasonic TC-L32S1 HDTV, and I tried hooking up my PC to it via HDMI, however I get this...

As you can see, it cuts off part of my screen. I tried messing with the TV format (full, zoom, 4:3), and I can't figure out how to do it. When I choose a lower resolution, there would be a black border around it. Any suggestions?
I am hooking up my PC in my sig to my HDTV via HDMI.

Overscan in your driver. Its a very common issue with HDTVs.

Anyway to fix it?

EDIT - I was told to try updating my drivers, I am going to check it out.

I mean the overscan setting in your driver. It lets you adjust it.

At least ATI has one, and it'd be stupid of NV not to put it.

If you google "overscan drivers", most of the links will with nvidia, and nobody has a solution to it except one person posting to update drivers with no replies.

That makes no sense... why would NV not put that?

Isn't there a pack you can download that gives their driver suite a lot of hidden features? Maybe try that.

EDIT: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/n...p?p_faqid=2064 NV drivers are a mess...

I think I found a way to do, but it's not 1920x1080 anymore.

That didn't work, and neither did the drivers update. I did the "Adjust desktop size and position" in the nVidia control panel, and in order to make it fit normally, the resolution is 1768x992.

EDIT - does ATI actually let you keep the 1920x1080 resolution?

Yep.

And it has overscan adjustments among other things.

I have no idea why people say their drivers are so bad, they have been much more though out than NV's at the least.
