Default Experts Help!!! Changing screen resolution to custom size?

Hi,

I have a 46 tatung plasma that I have been trying to hook up to my comoputer allll day... I have come to the conclusion that I have to adjust the screen resolution on my pc so that it will display on my plasma... I have it connected to my plasma with a d-sub vga cord that is split from the computer.... My plasma screen resolution is 852x480..... On my compouter the lowest screen resolution is 800x600.... Does this matter? I am assuming I have to adjust my computer resolution to 852x480 for it to display on my plasma if this is correct how do I adjust to a custom level, I have windows xp?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure that, that is all your plasma can support. That is really low resolution so the picture quality on that plasma is going to be horrible.

Yeah, that's just a little bit more than the resolution of a standard TV.
