Creative Zen (software help)

Hi, I just bought the Sleek Creative Zen
and I put the software in to install and
it starts to run and then about a second
later it stops. I don't know what to do.
Ive tried running it several different ways
and none of them seem to work.
I.E.
I waited for it to start up on its own nothing
I went to my computer and tried to autoplay it, still nothing
I went to start/run, nothing.

I don't know what to do.

It may be just not responding. Close the procedure from task manager if you know which one it is, or just restart your computer and try again. Might work, happens to me with installing a lot of software.

ive restarted about 3 times already.

Hmm... another thing you could check is if your CD drive is working fine. Perhaps the CD is messed up? What you can always do is go to a Torrent site and try to d/l the software for Creative Zen there. I mean you already own it, so its not really illegal to download something you already own.

ye i put other cds in both drives and it worked fine.
i went on the website but i dont know what to download.
theres a bunch of things and im not quite sure which is which

Those applications are all you'll need. Especially the last one.

If you don't have a latest version of Windows though (before Millenium edition), you may have a problem with the Creative software installing

hey.
ive tried dling it from the website and when i try to run it
it tells me that it doesnt detect a former instalation or something.

Hmm, thats because maybe your trying to install an update to a program your meant to have. Is there any more of those links that don't relate to an update, but rather a full program?

It's saying that it doesn't detect a former installation because those are patches and not the full programs. I will take a look and see if I can find them to download and then hook you up.

i called the company today when they opened
and they gave me the directions on how to work it.
everythings good now =] im playing with it now.
