I'm looking to buy a laptop for gaming purposes. My budget is around 800 to 900 dollars; please help if you can.

Buddy, I am an avid gamer, and I prefer gaming laptop more than gaming pc, and I am using ASUS ZX53VW because of its 8GB DDR3 ram. I like its Backlit keys, and its NVidia GeForce GTX 960 4GB helps me playing my favorite games like COD; WW2, Resident Evil 7 or taken seven but for more choices checkout some best gaming laptop under 1000$ which is quite close to your range!
Thanks me later:-)

Dude, surely the new release mini SNES console is all you need?!

I kid - if your budget is $800-900 perhaps check out the Dell Inspiron 15 or Acer for their under $1k gaming models?

If you're looking for a gaming laptop, the one piece of advice i can offer is to avoid anything that has a graphics card that has an 'M' in the model number. i.e. nvidia 950m. While they use less power and give a longer battery life, they're mobile variants that are less powerful than their desktop counterparts.

I love using a console, I find my laptop screen too small to enjoy playing Resident Evil: Biohazard.

Do you have any preferences? Like screen size, resolution, weight maybe?

Basically what you are looking for is something with a dedicated card (the "desktop" models like the 1060 or 1050Ti), SSD, 8Gb or more RAM, and a 6th or 7th gen I5 or I7 processor.

I would advice against buying Dell.

I would also advise against Dell. I had an XPS M1530 laptop that broke down on me due to the faulty GPU they put in. I'm surprised that the laptop lasted as long as it did (2009-2016) because most of them failed around 2011-2012.

Dell actually extended the warranty on that model because of the GPU issues.
