Default Old Dell Hack

I just got a free Dell Dimensions 1100 from my grandpa. I heard there is a way to throw a nice GPU and upgrade some other parts and it will run. With a $150 what are some parts that will make the computer run games like rocket league? If possible some a nice list of parts would help a lot.

Depending on what model you have it would either have an older Celeron or Pentium 4 CPU which is not worth upgrading and wouldn't run many of today's games. Your would be better of saving your money up to building a good gaming pc.

I agree with BK, that PC will struggle a lot even with a new GPU, and that's assuming the stock power supply is even up to it!

You'd be better off sticking a version of Linux on there as an OS and playing around with it as a server etc. Plus you'll learn a new skill instead of playing Rocket League!

(I know it doesn't sound as appealing, but there's no better time than the present to learn something new)
