It is not becoming obsolete for me. Just because you say it is doesn't mean it is true. I mean come on! They can play all the new games just fine. It isn't choppy. It is pretty damn smooth. And literally I have $110 in my checkings account right right now. I'm not rich like you guys... I can't go around spending even $120 on a graphics card right now. And they aren't that old. Sheesh, unlike some people around here I can't update my computer every month.

Maybe once you get into college you would understand why. I have a thousand other expenses, not to mention bills. Damn cable TV is expensive too. But there is only one company in the area.

Well I never said that it sucked, but I'm saying that the technology out right now is making it obsolete. It's still a capable card, but it's being shadowed out by newer technology.

I do not think the newer technology is really a good enough reason for me to spend a bunch of money. The card is more then capable for anything I throw at it.

lol speaker of which my cpu still wasnt going over 40 degrees in bios running at 2.43 but doing 3dmark03 i was noticing black flashes and such so i turned it down to like 2.32ghz that shouild be safe for now

Well I never demanded that you get a new card. I was simply saying that IF you had the money you could get the 6600 GT (which is pretty cheap btw). If you don't have the money, fine.

Ok, sorry I mention Giancarlo's card... Geez... Let's all throw hissy fits why don't we over who has what card, and why, and what they should get, blah, blah, etc, etc... STFU.. Geezz!!!!

Now, back on topic. If Giancarlo's card is enough for what he does, and he is a student in college, then that is enough for him. Besides, the FX5900 gets enough on current games, I was just pointing out its poor dynamic lighting engine compared to the 6600/6800 series.

As to SLi, I have no problems currently with mine, so I do not feel problems are in every case.

Even if I did have the money I would still not upgrade. I'd put it towards something more important like a car. the FX5900 is more then good for all recent games. I Tested them out and fine. The dynamic lighting engine is just fine.

Well, I was meerly pointing out the SIMPLE fact that in COMPARISON to ATi's series and the newer 6Series nvidia's it pales in comparison.
