Someday maybe. That or I'll just buy another CRT when/if this one dies. As you can tell from my desk setup, monitor size is not an issue.

IMO, CRTs still have superior color quality.

But not as vibrant, and give off radiation.

I don't think the amount of radiation given off is enough to really worry about that.

And as far as vibrant goes, I've compared a 1000:1 19" LCD to this 19" CRT.

I honestly believe theres no contest between the two. It might be a little sharper on the LCD, but the colors are just washed out IMO.

Maybe you stop noticing after you get used to it, but I'm roughing it with this CRT for as long as I can.

These things last a very long time. My old monitor is a Packard Bell from 1995. Still works perfectly to this day. Image quality is still as good now as it was then.

LCDs, for me, serve one great purpose: Lan Parties. They put off less heat, they weight practically nothing, and thanks to them you can fit twice as many people on one table. I may buy an LCD just for that.

The black fade is just the Vista widgets, and that blade looking thing is probably just his wallpaper.

Absolutely not true. CRT monitors excel in color reproduction. That's why you still see engineers and graphic designers sticking with CRT monitors instead of LCD.
