Thanks. I usually only use the three bigger monitors, but Flight Simulator won't zoom out enough to see the instrument panel, so I had to add two more for that.
Dell is aweful always has always will. they do a horrible job putting the hardware together and the amount of trial software, demos, and other garbage is a disgrace.
You're right some of Dell's equipment is pretty bad. We see A LOT of Dell GX260's with many blown capacitors. Generally we'll repair something like this if there's 1 or 2 caps blown, but these suckers tend to blow a lot of caps. Some of the Dell equipment is pretty sweet - we have some very nice Dell rackmount 2U servers and I've had my Dell netbook in use as an XBMC (XBMC Media Centre) machine. The netbook is left on all the time and I haven't run into any issues with it - battery life is still awesome after a year of use.
Not terribly fond of replacing PSUs in the Dell SFF Optiplex machines, they tend to vary from model to model, but it's not that difficult to work with Dell systems.
left monitor is an Acer X223HD, right monitor is a BenQ G2222HDL, lefy keyboard is a microsoft cheap one, right is a Razer Lycosa Matte edition. Cheapo Microsoft Mouse and a Cyborg V3.
