Celegorm, bump up your FSB a bit and you'll be in business, the CPU and RAM are the only things holding it back.

Stupid harddrive is holding my score back. Maybe i'll setup a raid config or buy a raptor down the road.

Plan on it once things cool off here. It's a little to hot in my room to risk OCing right now.

Oh, gotcha. I moved my PC to the basement, much cooler down there. Actually...I should try pushing my E6600 more now, ambient temps are probably a solid 15-20*F cooler.

I'd like to know what a core2duo has to be clocked at to get a 5.9 score. I've had mine at 3.6 and its still a 5.8.

Me too...if I'm not busy later I'll try to push my E6600 farther to see if I can get a 5.9.

Well, it seems that Vista doesn't cope with OCing as well as XP. At 3.9 GHz, I got BSODs on trying to log in. 3.8 GHz still got me a 5.8 rating...
With XP, I can at least log in and do a suicide run with my fans blasting.

I'm thinking you might need a quad core to get 5.9. 3.8 GHz is crazy fast, and if that doesn't get a 5.9, I don't know what will.
