I want a widescreen monitor.. :(

All i have is a 19" CRT.. and a crappy lifetime chair that keeps breaking.. on a lifetime table... at an uncomfy angle.... *sigh*

i would recommend that you go get a 19" widescreen lcd off newegg for like 200 bucks. there are like 8 different models that are 19" widescreen lcd to choose from. i got one and its awesome.
 
Well if his budget isn't too low, there are some great 20.1" LCD's out there. Sceptre, BenQ, heck...even Dell occasionally has their monitors for sale. I remember the 2004FPW was on sale a while ago for about $380+, which is a good deal if you ask me.

Newegg is a big no no.. the dead pixel policy is not acceptable. IMO if my monitor has ANY defect at all, I deserve a refund or replacement. People don't pay money for a monitor just to have it not function correctly.

ya, true, the dead pixel policy is a ripoff. but the dels are just too good for me to pass up :p
