It's quite easy. You can easily change the color theme in Kubuntu.
go to the appearance settings and mess around with it.
i also gave the icons a red glow effect.

for your question. NO. not at all. Kubuntu is a smooth solid OS if your PC is not too old.
it will not lag on a descent computer. this is running on one of the cheaper core i3 sandy CPU's for laptops.

What is Kubuntu, how does it work, is it free. can I dual boot with Win7, and my Pc has been really laggy lately, no idea why. Even League of Legends has been laggy in the first 5 min. It wasn't like that before, and I don't have any viruses.
I have and AMD phenom x3 black edition CPU, Gigabyte 640GT and Nividia geforce 210 GT. ( Dual Graphics, I kept my old card when I upgraded to new graphics) 6Gigs DDR2. I have been trying so hard to get 2 more gigs of DDR2, the stuff is just so expensive!! My average CPU usage is 20%. At the same time RAM usage is at 55-70%... :pcmad:

Yeah i new computer will do you good.
i would recommend linux if you where not playing video game.. which you are.

How does it work: it works like most other OS. it's a system that makes it easy to interact with the computer.
Is it free: indeed it is. most linus software is free. except red hat and Mac OS x.... yeah i sad that. Mac os X is nothing more then a modded linux distribution.
Dual boot to win 7: yes it will.

If you where not plaing games you could make that computer feel 3 years newer with OS'es like Ubuntu.

I'll post a camera screenshot instead. It will explain why I can't post a Print Screen + Paste screenshot.

Here it is:

Without those bezels, the lower 3 monitors would look like a window to another reality. Note how the background is spanned to all three monitors, not duplicated.

This is beautiful and stuff.. But why do you need 4 monitors? Video editing, programming, 3d modeling, or just for fun >.>?

Thanks.

The lower 3 monitors can be used for gaming as many games can span through more than one monitor giving more view to consider the surroundings, without stretching the image. Example:

Normally, on a single screen that is, we can only see what's shown on the central monitor. I'm using nVidia video card. AMD video cards can support up to 9 monitors to span video games. Can't use the top monitor to span for games.

I do basic video editing from time to time as well, but that can just be including under "multi-tasking". I always do so many things in the same time and can't just forget about them without seeing the progress.

I also use multiple virtual machine from time to time. Imagine more than one system working simultaneously on a single computer. Drag and drop objects between different virtual machines and the host system is much easier and fun like this.

And finally, it is indeed fun. Just look at the view. Imagine it with lights turned off.

I guess it is time for a little update! :) (If you want to see the original post, it is on page 593 :D)
So, here is my desktop itself, I have two monitors so the image is really wide, but you can see where the border of each screen is.

Also, I want to show you how my whole setup looks, so, here we go:

I hope you liked it! If you have any questions, simply ask me, don't be shy :D
