does ubuntu allow you to upgrade from a previous version or do you have to reinstall the whole thing every time?

Yeah, Ubuntu allows you to upgrade to the newest distro from the previous one. I have never had any problems, but others have.

I don't get rid of my computer stuff. My first rig is now my dads. It's an Asus A8N32 SLI-Deluxe with a AMD Opteron 180 and 2GB DDR-400 2.5-3-3-7.

It was going to be my LAN rig but I never go to LAN parties. It'll be the one I will take to LAN's though seeing how it has a E6300 at a conservative 2.93 Ghz, 2GB DDR2 800 4-4-4-12, and a 8800GTS 320MB cooled by a HR-03+.

I waste too much money on computers.

WTF?!!? Who has rigs laying around?? Damn boy. I wish I had that kind of money.

I have two "rigs" lying around. HP D530, P4 2.66, 2.5 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, scored them for $85 apiece. They were being used as a file server and a webserver for my playing around with intranets. I'm thinking about getting a Cisco switch and router off of ebay so I can do some hands-on CCNA training. :D
