Yeah, you can lower your standards of what makes a good FPS on the console... which makes Halo better on the console. J/k j/k.
But seriously, the ports are pure shit. Halo PC had lackluster netcode and the performance wasn't as good as it could have been.
Halo2 was hardly better. I have a 7600GT and it ran like shit on my system at 1024x768 high settings.
There is absolutely nothing impressive about it's graphics. I can run farcry or Quake4 maxed, but apparently Halo2 is more demanding. Psh.
Playing it on the xbox saves you the grief of playing a lackluster port designed with nothing more than making a quick buck in mind.
VALVe and Epic are the only two companies that come to mind when it comes to keeping their shit in line in terms of ports. Gears of war on PC won't be a mere port. Not some quick buck.
Half-Life 2 on xbox was impressive considering it was run on a 733mhz P3/Celeron with 64 megs of ram and a geforce3. The fps was typically 30+ unless some intense stuff was happening.
And now Half-Life 2 and all it's episodic children are on the 360, and they run great.
Now, to be on topic:
Thats right, I didn't go "Oh shit, I got to post my desktop. LETS MAKE IT NICE FOR THE OTHER PEOPLE!" I just went ahead and took a screen shot.
