I never said it was old. I ave a 3.0GHZ/800FSB/1M and it's still S478.

is that a ht edition, tho cos mine aint although i overclcoked mine to 3.2ghz the other day but it was getting a little warm
also what idle temps do you get with yours and what cooling are you using i suppose it is a prescot

It's an HT, and it's a Prescott. It idles from 36C-40C and never goes over 50C under load.

Haha, nice. Finally. I would say the Pentium D isn't that great of a CPU, but it's definately a step up from your old laptop.

Nice Nate! E-Machines is not bad, but not the best either.

I'm getting a 940. I'll tell you how much of a difference I can get from a P4.
